Digid – a medical device startup worth a look in 2021

The Startup Pill has written an article featuring the best Medical Device startups of 2020. Digital Diagnostics (Digid) made it to this list of which the Startup Pill refer to as “exceptional startups”. The list consists of startups selected on their extraordinary performance in innovation, growth, management, and societal impact.

Lifecare hold 25% of the German health tech company Digid, a startup on a mission to revolutionize virus detection and bring the power of a laboratory to everyone’s smartphone. Digid is developing a platform based on the proprietary Cantisense biosensor technology and ecosystem of mobile applications to enable a real-time, A.I.-powered diagnostics of human and animal biodata. Through out 2020, Digid has developed a rapid test for detection of Covid-19 that provides a clear “yes” or “no” within 5 minutes. The company expect to launch the device in the market early in 2021. In addition to Covid-19, the test method can in principle be adapted to detect all kinds of virus
